KA1 – FROM EUROPE TO ITALY
Polaris is a specialized agency for the coordination, management and implementation of individual mobility projects for students and teachers in the field of Vocational Training, Adult Education and School Education.
Over the years it has built its own network of Schools, Vocational Training Centers, Local Authorities and Institutions engaged in promoting this type of educational experience and cultural interchange.
Each year Polaris welcomes about 500 students and teachers from all over Europe participating in mobility programs funded by the EU Erasmus+ program.
Polaris, as an intermediary or host organisation, works with the sending schools and organisations to:
Help identify the objectives and activities of the project
Find organizations (companies, schools, local authorities, ..) that can offer internships, job shadowing or work experience for students and staff
Look for accommodation in residences or apartments
Take care of language preparation (Italian, English, Spanish, French, German, Polish, etc.)
Take care of cultural preparation and social integration
Provide ongoing monitoring throughout the duration of the internship
Issue language certification and certificates of participation in training activities
Prepare all final reports

Polaris is located in Abruzzo, more precisely in Vasto, a tourist resort in the center of Italy, famous for its sea, its characteristic historic center, and its cuisine.
In the territory of Vasto there are numerous tourist facilities, two large industrial areas with companies operating in the agribusiness and automotive sectors, and, therefore, there is no shortage of health facilities, social services, cultural centers, and important educational institutions.
Abruzzo is also famous for being the “Green Region of Italy,” with the highest percentage of its territory reserved for natural parks and protected natural areas, located near Vasto.
The city of Vasto is well connected with major airports in the area: Pescara 70 km, Rome 300 km, Naples 200 km, Ancona 200 km, Bari 250 km.
